Lodging Options

Lila House

Room for four people sleeping in beds or hammocks.
Front porch with table and chairs and a hammock.
Off the dining area there is a large back porch, overlooking the large private rear garden with its magnificent trees.
The bathroom is next to the back porch. The facilities are a cold shower, washbasin and ÔecoexcusadoÕ (eco-toilette).

Clementine House

Room for four people sleeping in beds or hammocks.
Rear porch enclosed with mosquito netting. Dining room and laundry area on one side, and a half bath with cold shower and washbasin.
The ÔecoescusadoÕ (eco-toilet) is separate from the main building, accessed via a lush garden pathway.

Yellow House

Room for four people sleeping in beds or hammocks.
Rear porch and laundry area on one side, and a half bath with cold shower and washbasin.
The ÔecoescusadoÕ (eco-toilet) is separate from the main building, accessed via a lush garden pathway.

Green House

Room for four people sleeping in beds or hammocks. Main room and library.
Room for two people sleeping in beds or hammocks, together or separately.
Dining and lounge areas on the broad front porch with its stunning views of the pond (ÔEstanque CentralÕ).
Full bathroom off the front porch.

Main House

Room for four people sleeping in one bed and two hammocks.
Full kitchen with large windows looking onto the garden.
Dining and lounge areas on the broad front porch, protected by mosquito netting.
Spacious patios and private garden areas surround the house.
Open-air back porch with wonderful view of the extensive forest of Rancho Komchen.
Opens onto the tree-lined pool terrace.
Bathroom with shower and hot tub, washbasin, bidet and ÔecoescusadoÕ (eco-toilet).
Another eco-toilet is located near the back porch.

Other Buildings

Main Kitchen

Grills, Range with Oven, Refrigerator and Freezer.
Dining room with seating for 12 people.
Bread home-baked daily for the residents and guests.

Shared Baths

Two large hot-water showers with dressing room.
Traditional Mayan oval structure surrounded by views of the dense jungle garden.
Large island vanity with two sinks with hot water.
Two eco-toilets.

Out-building

Ancient building with soaring ceilings and very thick walls. Not currently used.

As you can imagine, here in Rancho Komchen, most of the time the water is really cold. Sometimes this is a relief! :-).
The ÔecoescusadosÕ are composting toilets that are free of odours.
You can tour the gardens on our bikes and enjoy walking through Rancho Komchen.
